GTA 6 Leaks Explode: Full Leonida Map, Jason Gameplay and a Leaker Making Demands

The biggest GTA 6 leak since 2022 began spreading on August 18, 2026 and has not stopped since. A person or group operating under the name 'CyberLeek' posted unreleased Grand Theft Auto VI footage showing Jason driving, brawling, evading police and even shooting hoops — followed by images that appear to reveal the entire Leonida map. Rockstar Games has stayed publicly silent while issuing DMCA takedowns across social platforms, with clips vanishing almost as fast as they appear.

The timing is brutal: Rockstar is set to premiere an official GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix on August 27, 2026. The leaks have effectively pre-empted the reveal the studio spent months building toward.

Clip 1 — Driving, melee combat and a two-star chase

In the first video, Jason is driving on a highway when he swerves into oncoming traffic and slams into a 'Scoop' delivery van. The van driver climbs out, threatens to "get some teeth out of your face," and a melee fight breaks out. Jason drops him with a jump kick and a punch, then picks up a wrench and swings repeatedly — which triggers a two-star Wanted level, with six stars visible on the meter.

Clip 2 — Basketball, and a 'Focus' stat

The second clip opens with Jason leaning on the railing of the house seen at the start of GTA 6's second trailer. He drops into the driveway — a boat matching earlier official footage is parked there — and picks up a basketball. An on-screen prompt explains the shooting mechanic: "To shoot, aim and hold until the rings overlap, then release." After Jason sinks the shot, a Focus stat appears on screen and rises by 2%, hinting at a deeper RPG-style skill layer.

Clip 3 — A night mission, a taser, and a taunt

A third video showed Jason driving at night, fighting security officers and using a taser. Reports noted the clip also contained a line seemingly taunting Rockstar about VPN use — the leaker openly needling the studio while takedown notices flew.

The full Leonida map

Alongside the gameplay, a set of images claimed to show the complete Leonida map — Vice City and the surrounding state, including keys, swampland, farmland and highway networks. If genuine, it is the first full look at the world's scale, and it landed before Rockstar had shown any map material officially.

Radio stations and finer details

By August 20 the leaks extended to radio station listings, plus a stream of small mechanical details pulled apart by the community: cloning of vehicle keys, reworked melee and gunplay feedback, and even ambient touches like birds randomly dying mid-flight. Individually trivial, collectively they paint a picture of an extraordinarily dense simulation.

A leaker with a manifesto

Unusually, CyberLeek framed the dump as leverage rather than clout. The leaker threatened further releases unless a set of 'pro-consumer' demands were met, then followed through with additional footage including a cutscene when they went unanswered. They also claimed the material they hold includes gameplay that is "next level" compared with previous GTA games.

Rockstar has not commented publicly. Its only visible response has been a wave of DMCA takedowns.

What it means for the release

The 2022 leak of pre-alpha footage did not delay GTA 6, and nothing so far suggests these will either — the material looks close to final rather than early. The real casualty is the surprise: Rockstar's Netflix Extended Look on August 27 now arrives with a chunk of its content already circulating. Expect the studio to lean harder into presentation, story and the pieces the leaks could not capture.
